A Smokin' Hot Thank You

Hi there. If you follow me on Facebook, then you know that since the first of the year I've been taking classes at The Bar Method. (Everyone thinks that sounds like a fun fitness class, but I assure you, it's not that kind of bar) It's actually this fantastic ballet based fitness class that sculpts and tones and elongates. It's been kind of incredible for me. I've lost 3 sizes so far, and I've only been at it since January.

So, I decided that the awesome instructors there needed a Thank You card since for the first time in several years, I didn't feel like crying when shopping for a bikini. I used Saturated Canary's Smokin' Hot for this one. She was super fun to color.

Happy 4th 'Murica!

In celebration of July 4th, have this sweet card with a Saturated Canary Bikini's & Burgers image. I thought it was appropriate!

Now, I'm off to find a juicy burger of my own!!

Mermaid Scales

As a Pisces, I have a bit of a fascination with water and the whimsical aspects associated with it. I'm especially fond of mermaids. The one over at Saturated Canary is one of my favorites.

I had a lot of fun coloring her, and to give her tail that extra scaly appearance, I used mica flakes. They are very tricky to work with, and you need to use gloves or you might cut yourself on the super thin pieces, but the effect was really neat. Experimenting is fun.

I used her on a birthday card I made for my friend, Dani, who is quite possibly more into aquatic life than even myself.
