I've been in a bit of a design slump lately, and then to top it off, I managed to get my annual hit of strep throat (Boo) which made it even harder for me to drag myself into the studio. To kind of ease back into things, I took the advise of some of the Oddies over at the Some Odd Girl
Ning and did a little reorganizing of my space and the ever growing amount of papers and bits and bobs. I also started thinking about what birthdays I have coming up and I remembered this awesome Ustream I watched where Kristi colored
Big Wishes Mae by using a birthday candle as the only light source....and BLAM! I had a project. *Cheers*

The trick was to make everything close to the candle super highlighted and to darken everything from there. I like how she turned out.
If I had it to do over, I think I'd go back over the outside area with the chisel edge again.
Here is the finished card! I used new Fancy Pants Trendsetter papers (I love all their new paper sets!) and some really fun Webster's Pages trim.
It's going to be a fun birthday card for my boss at work. I think the quote on it is perfect. 'A girl should be two things: Classy & Fabulous!' is just perfect for her.
