SOG Digi Release - Butterfly Friend Fairy

*Flails* I love fairies! Seriously! This is Butterfly Friend Fairy and out of the February release, I think this beauty is my fave. The long wavy hair was awesome to color and I just had to use a neat color with it. This is one of the best parts of coloring fantasy characters. They allow you to stretch a bit more creatively.

You can pick her up here!

The sentiment is from Gifty Gwen and I thought with the adorable little butterfly on her toe, this was the perfect little greeting.

I must say, I really love that spring makes Kristi think of fairies, because as long as she keeps drawing them, I'll keep coloring them!

There is still a little time to submit your projects to the Some Odd Girl Blog for this month's Misting & Masking challenge and if you haven't signed up for the newsletter yet, you definitely should or you might be missing out on some super exclusive deals and info!

SOG Digi Release - Daffodil Fairy & Daydreaming Fairy

Today's release has not one, but two Awwwwwww-mazing fairies in it!! If you've already colored the super cute clear stamps and you've just been sitting around twiddling your thumbs, this is the release for you! First up is Daffodil Fairy! She's cute as a button, isn't she? I actually printed and colored her up in layers, with the wings being the base (and covered in pretty glitter) and then the fairy and then the flower being a layer all to itself. The sentiment is from Pixie Dust and the embellishments are a combination of wood stars and teenie tiny sequins.
Next up is Daydream Fairy. I love her sweet long hair bedecked with flowers and who doesn't love a mushroom (Me, I'm deathly allergic, but this kind is crazy cute! The sentiment is from Fairy
Magic. The papers all came from this month's Simon Say Stamp card kit and a few embellishments from the latest Paper Issues Swag Bag for good measure.

SOG Tutorial - Masking

Good morning Oddies!! Today I'm coming at you with a tutorial on inks and masking using Some Odd Girl cut files. Everyone adores the Digi's and stamps for obvious reasons, but I never overlook either the stamp cut files or the background cut files and I'll show you why! These versatile pieces can be one of the most important parts of your crafty arsenal. I used Puppy Love Mae stamp, sentiment & cut file along with the Star Fall Background cut file to make this already super cute image pop of the card!

Feb Tutorial

For details on how I made this beauty, watch the video below!

Playing with inks is so much fun and adds a whole new dimension to your cards and projects. I hope to see some of you all getting ink soon. I hope you've learned a bit about the versatility of Some Odd Girl cut files today, and don't forget, you can put it to good use in this month's blog challenge, which is all about misting and masking! SOG Digi Release - Hand Holding Mae & Kody

*Waves* I'm in puppy love with the new release this week from Some Odd Girl! I love a good couple stamp and who is better than Mae and Kody? (The answer is no one) I had a lot of fun creating a neat-o translucent heart background and using papers from the new Fancy Pants paper line. The sentiment is from Artist Mae and it's decorated with sequins and a bit of doodling.

I think they are totally sweet together, don't you?

SOG Digi - Best Man & Formal Mae

Hey there! Me again with this week's awesome Digi release!! I was crazy excited about this one, because not only do we get an amazing Formal Mae, but we also get Best Man, which can either be an adorable Bromance or a cute gay couple. You choose. Totally cool, yeah? To start, we have Best Man. If any of you know me, you know I'm a kind of crazy Drarry fan. (Drarry = Draco/Harry fanfiction) I've even been known to write it. So when I saw this digi, I instantly thought of them and colored them up accordingly. *Winks* I think they are super cute and I want to smoosh them together and yell "KISS!". *Clears throat*

Moving on.....

And then we have the ever so stylish Formal Mae in her swanky gown. She's totally rockin the Angelina Jolie leg pose, which I love. I'm crazy about how her dress turned out in the red. I used to be terrified to color red, but now it's one of my favorite colors. The sentiment is also one of my faves from the I Do stamp released in December. I've been using the heck out of that set!

I hope you guys find some inspiration here, or at the very least some entertainment. *Grins* Go to the shop to get yours, and while you're at it, swing by and visit the blog for this month's challenge: Misting & Masking!
