Hi there. If you follow me on Facebook, then you know that since the first of the year I've been taking classes at The Bar Method. (Everyone thinks that sounds like a fun fitness class, but I assure you, it's not that kind of bar) It's actually this fantastic ballet based fitness class that sculpts and tones and elongates. It's been kind of incredible for me. I've lost 3 sizes so far, and I've only been at it since January.
So, I decided that the awesome instructors there needed a Thank You card since for the first time in several years, I didn't feel like crying when shopping for a bikini. I used Saturated Canary's Smokin' Hot for this one. She was super fun to color.

The Mother of all cards

I actually made this one a few weeks ago, but only just decided to post it up here. There are a few techniques I've been shying away from, and I finally broke down and conquered one of them.
Coloring in Black & White.
For my own inner challenge, I chose Umbrella Gwen from Some Odd Girl.
She seemed rather appropriate to color using only grey Copics. I used the Warm Grays, because that's the tone that matched my paper scheme best. and I used Y08, Y18 & Y19 for the pop of color for her umbrella.
Did I mention I'd just recently watched the season finale of How I Met Your Mother? *Giggles* I love that show and getting to finally catch a glimpse of the Mother we'd been waiting like a bajillion years to meet was my small inspiration for this card.

Happy 4th 'Murica!
In celebration of July 4th, have this sweet card with a Saturated Canary Bikini's & Burgers image. I thought it was appropriate!
Now, I'm off to find a juicy burger of my own!!

Dare to BEE
This was my first foray into paper piecing. I used Dare to be Gwen from the recent Some Odd Girl release and Bo Bunny papers.
I need to figure out how to do a little Copic blending without smearing the ink from the stamp.
The bee theme was kind of accidental, but I like it.
Copics used:
Skin: E00, E01, E97, E11, E04
Hair: E97, E99, E39, E59 & E21
Skirt Trim/Shoes: BG53 & BG57

Music Mae
Another from the Some Odd Girl's recent clear stamp release was Music Mae. They'd teased it on the blog what seemed like ages ago and I'd been biding my time, coveting the whole set. When they finally arrived online, I couldn't even wait for the full blog release. I just had to have them.
I used papers from the Echo Park: Here and Now collection and the Hello Summer collection, some of which I got through my SP Monthly Kit Club for May.
It was done, in part, to play around with a funky hair color for the Some Odd Girl Ning challenge.
Copics:
Skin: E000, E01, E04, E11, R20
Hair: R20, R22, R24, R29, R46 & R59
Clothes: BG32, BG34 & BG57
I just want to pinch her freckled cheeks, don't you?

Some Odd Girl May Challenge
I've been really big into fairy tales lately. We got passes to Disney for my birthday and I've started a collection of princess shirts (Don't ask) and lucky for me, Kristy has been indulging my habit with A-MAZING stamps and digi's over at Some Odd Girl. I think I've made a card with all of them now, but this was my submission for the May Challenge.
The challenge was to make a card with this template/sketch:
I decided to use Cinderella. She's so sweet and so fun and I just couldn't resist giving her an awesome girlie card to go on.
You can find the stamp here. I used Copics to color her..because, well...that's how I roll.
Skin: E000-E02, E04, E11 & R29
Hair: E51, E55 & E57
Dress: B23-B26 & B99
And while it doesn't show up in the image, I gave her necklace and shoes the proper sparkle with the Copic Spica pen. (I love that thing)
The papers are Echo Park, part of their Hello Summer & Everyday Eclectic collections. and the sentiment is from the SOG Nouveau Girls collection Royal

Hey Mae
The latest Some Odd Girl clear stamp release has been one of my favorites. Hey Mae was so amazingly fun to color!! I used Copics to color her and used papers from the Echo Park: Here and Now collection that I got from May's SP Monthly Kit Club (What's better than a monthly supply of surprise paper and stamps?!) The Sentiment is also from Some Odd Girl on the Everyday Smiles sentiments collection.
Copic Recipes:
Skin: E00, E01, E04, E11, E97, R20
Hair: E99, E21, E35, E37
Clothes: BG34, BG57, BG75, BG78, R49, R46 & R59
I used a jelly roll for the little flicks in her eyes (Such an important touch that I've learned over the past few months.
Here is the finished card. I love to do a card with an odd shape. I didn't have anything in mind for this card when I started it. She was just too cute not to color!
